Embracing the Challenge: Navigating Consistency in the Midst of Life's Demands

Today, I wanted to open up and share a personal struggle that has been on my mind lately: consistency. As an illustrator and a person who thrives on spontaneity and variety, sticking to routines and repetitive tasks has always been a challenge for me. However, I recognize the importance of consistency when it comes to building a successful illustration business, especially in the realm of social media.

I made a promise to myself to be consistent with my online presence, to regularly engage with my audience, and to share my artistic journey through a weekly blog post. While I managed to maintain a somewhat regular posting schedule on Instagram, I must admit that I fell short when it came to writing my weekly blog post.

Life, as we all know, has a way of throwing unexpected challenges our way. Recently, my family and I have faced some tough times demanding our attention and energy. Sleep deprivation became a constant companion, as the demands of daily life and caring for my daughter took precedence. It's amazing how lack of sleep can impact every aspect of our lives, making it difficult to maintain focus and meet our commitments.

However, I'm happy to report that we are now getting more restful nights and slowly regaining our equilibrium. With renewed energy and a clear mind, I finally found a moment to sit down and write this blog post. It feels refreshing to be back in the creative flow and reconnecting with my passion for sharing insights and experiences.

While consistency may be difficult at times, it's important to remember that progress is not always linear. We need to be compassionate with ourselves and recognize that there will be moments when we fall short of our expectations.

Moving forward, I'm committing myself to continue striving for consistency while also embracing the unpredictable nature of life. I'll remind myself that it's not about rigid adherence to routines, but about finding a balance that allows creativity and personal growth.
